Back in 1987, you could walk into any RadioShack and see the future — or at least what we thought the future would look like. Circuit boards, floppy disks, beige monitors… and somewhere between the cassette adapters and 300-baud modems, a small purple robot named Widget was waiting for his moment.

The comeback of a lifetime
Widget started life as a page-47 curiosity in a 1987 RadioShack catalog — a cheerful helper with a blinking light and a questionable warranty. Today, he’s our newest “team member,” freshly fitted with an AI learning module and a mission: help small businesses make technology actually work for them.
He’s curious. He’s determined. And he’s still occasionally convinced his warranty is valid.
Why Widget Exists (and what he represents)
Widget isn’t just a mascot. He’s a mirror for what a lot of small-business owners feel right now — excited about AI, but also a little overwhelmed by it. Like many of us, he’s learning as he goes.
At Brass Ring, we’re blending automation, AI, and human creativity — without losing what makes marketing personal. Widget keeps that mission front and center. He’s here to remind us (and our clients) that technology works best when it amplifies human effort, not replaces it.

Widget’s transformation took fine-tuning, a little rewiring, and more than a few cups of digital coffee. The result? A purple-and-chrome little powerhouse who helps generate smarter content, plan campaigns, and monitor performance analytics.
